Imposter Purple #18

The Imposter Purple is a midge nymph pattern tied in purple on a size 18 hook. It imitates the midge larvae and pupae that make up a large part of a trout’s diet through the colder months.

Fish it on a nymph rig in slow pools and deep runs, or as a dropper under a dry. Purple is a proven attractor shade that can draw strikes when natural-colored midges are ignored.
