PMD Emerger #18

The PMD Emerger in size #18 imitates a pale morning dun mayfly struggling to hatch in the surface film.

Fish it dead-drift to risers during PMD hatches. Emergers often outfish duns when trout key on the vulnerable stage.

It also makes a highly visible top fly in a dry-dropper rig, pulling double duty as strike indicator. Keep a few in different sizes to match the naturals you see on the water that day.
