Skittal Mantis Shrimp #6

The Skittal Mantis Shrimp is a mantis shrimp imitation on a size 6 hook from Fulling Mill. The skittal-style tying gives it a buggy, active profile that suggests a fleeing shrimp.

Strip it for bonefish on the flats with short, quick pulls. The erratic action of the pattern can provoke strikes from fish that ignore steadier retrieves.

On the flats, a quiet presentation and a slow, steady strip usually outperform extra casting distance.
