Mini Hot Mayfly Olive #18

Umpqua’s Mini Hot Mayfly in olive is a compact dry with a bright hot spot. The olive body covers Baetis and other small olive mayflies, while the hot spot aids visibility and triggers strikes.

At #18 it matches small mayfly hatches. Fish it on a dead drift, alone or as a trailer behind a larger dry.

Fish the hatch, not the clock: watch the water for noses before casting, and place the fly a few feet above each rise for the most natural drift.
