Z-Midge UV Black #18

The Z-Midge UV Black is a midge larva with UV-reflective materials that trout detect underwater. The UV flash gives this simple pattern an edge during low-light midge activity.

Fish it as a dropper in slow water through winter. Size #18 matches the midges that dominate cold-weather trout diets. Midges hatch in every month of the year, so this is a pattern worth keeping on your rig from winter straight through fall.
