Parachute Frankenhopper Golden #8

The Parachute Frankenhopper in golden from RIO is a parachute-style hopper dry fly. The parachute post aids visibility while the golden body suggests grasshoppers and Golden Stone adults.

Fish it on a dead drift along grassy banks in late summer, or during Golden Stone hatches.

Don’t overlook the middle of the river on breezy days windblown terrestrials drift far from shore, and trout cruise the lanes looking for them.
