Bastard Crab Light Tan #4

The Bastard Crab in Light Tan is a #4 crab pattern from Fulling Mill for redfish. The light tan coloration imitates the small crabs that redfish root from shallow bottoms.

Crab patterns fish best slow and low. Cast ahead of a cruising or tailing redfish, let the fly settle to the bottom, and use short strips or subtle twitches to suggest a fleeing crab.

The #4 size covers a wide range of redfish situations. Light tan is a natural, versatile color that reads well over sand, mud, and grass in changing light.
