CDC Emerger BWO #12

This Blue Winged Olive pattern in size #12 imitates a baetis mayfly struggling to hatch in the surface film.

BWOs hatch in cool, cloudy weather when little else is moving. Dead-drift it to rising fish during the hatch.

Carry several in your fly box so you are covered when the hatch intensifies and trout start keying on this stage. From MRFC, available through Madison River Fishing Company, the Ennis, Montana fly shop.
