Chicone’s Floating Crab Tan #2

Chicone’s Floating Crab in Tan is a floating crab imitation on a size 2 hook from Umpqua. The larger profile represents the bigger crabs that draw the attention of trophy permit.

Fish it on calm flats for permit, presenting it ahead of cruising fish. The tan coloration blends with the surface while remaining visible to the angler.

Permit are famously selective, so a natural drift with minimal false casting gives this fly its best chance.
