Mason’s Bant Black/Red #12

Mason’s Bant in black and red is a compact terrestrial dry fly pattern from Rainy’s. The bold two-tone coloring makes it easy to track while suggesting beetles and other dark land insects.

Fish it on a dead drift along banks and under overhanging vegetation during summer terrestrial season.

Target the undercut banks and overhanging grass where hoppers and beetles fall in; a sloppy cast that lands in the grass and plops in can be the best one.
