Mercer’s Jigster PMD #16

Mercer’s Jigster PMD from Umpqua is a Pale Morning Dun jig nymph from a legendary pattern designer. It matches the summer mayfly hatch in a fast-sinking jig format built for modern nymphing.

Dead-drift it in riffles and runs during PMD season. Size #16 covers the naturals trout expect on Western freestone rivers. Mayfly nymphs are on the trout menu nearly every day of the season, so a pattern like this earns a permanent place in your nymph box.
