REC Insert Only RGML .420″

REC Insert Only RGML .420″ is a wood reel-seat insert for custom rod building, sized for RGML seats. The insert is the visible wood barrel of the reel seat, and the wood species sets the tone of the whole build. Offered in Birdseye Maple, Buckeye Burl, Cocobolo, Impreg Chestnut, Impreg Rosewood, and Impreg Walnut, it lets builders match or contrast the rod’s wraps and grip.

When to Use It

Choose an insert when assembling or refurbishing a reel seat on a custom build. Pick figured woods like Buckeye Burl or Cocobolo for a showpiece rod, or classic Maple and Walnut for traditional styling.
