Thunder Thighs Hopper Purple #12

Umpqua’s Thunder Thighs Hopper in purple is a bold grasshopper dry fly. The purple coloring stands out on the water while the hopper profile draws aggressive late-summer strikes.

Fish it on a dead drift along grassy banks, or skate it to provoke reaction strikes.

Late summer is prime time for terrestrials, especially on windy afternoons when the breeze knocks insects off the bankside vegetation.
