Trina’s Dog Puke Salmonfly #6

A Salmonfly dry fly pattern with a scruffy, disheveled profile that suggests a spent or struggling adult. Trout often prefer these less-than-perfect imitations during heavy hatches.

Fish it on a dead drift during the Salmonfly emergence, focusing on bank water and slow eddies.

Focus your casts on the shady bank and under overhanging branches, where stoneflies crawl out and trout wait below for the stragglers.
