X-Caddis Tan #18

The X-Caddis in size #18 imitates an emerging caddis with its trailing shuck, matching the vulnerable stage trout key on.

Fish it dead-drift in the surface film during caddis emergences. The trailing shuck is the trigger for selective fish.

It also makes a highly visible top fly in a dry-dropper rig, pulling double duty as strike indicator. Keep a few in different sizes to match the naturals you see on the water that day.
