Dancin’ Ricky Salmonfly #6

Dancin’ Ricky in Salmonfly is a lively dry fly pattern with built-in motion. The design suggests a struggling adult Salmonfly the kind of vulnerable target trout can’t resist.

Fish it on a dead drift with occasional twitches during the Salmonfly hatch.

During the hatch, the first and last light often fish best; position yourself to drift the fly through the bankside lanes where trout patrol.
