Romen’s Thing From Uranus Salmonfly #4

A Salmonfly dry fly pattern with an oversized, impressionistic profile. At #4 it matches the biggest Salmonfly adults, giving trout the large meal they look for during the hatch.

Fish it on a dead drift tight to the banks, or with an occasional skate to suggest a fluttering adult.

Pair it with a smaller dropper nymph underneath when fish are looking up but not committing; the big dry doubles as your strike indicator.
