Sweetgrass Hopper Tan #10

Umpqua’s Sweetgrass Hopper in tan is a grasshopper dry fly in natural grass tones. The #10 sizing matches the hoppers trout hunt from midsummer through fall.

Fish it on a dead drift along grassy banks and under overhanging vegetation.

Target the undercut banks and overhanging grass where hoppers and beetles fall in; a sloppy cast that lands in the grass and plops in can be the best one.
