TR’s Rosenhopper #10

TR’s Rosenhopper is a grasshopper dry fly pattern. The #10 sizing matches natural hoppers that trout key on from midsummer through fall.

Fish it on a dead drift along grassy banks and under overhanging vegetation, adding an occasional twitch for realism.

Fish it on a stout enough tippet to turn the fly over in the wind, since the best terrestrial fishing often happens on the breeziest afternoons.
