Westin Jerkbite DR 11cm 15g Real Roach

Westin Jerkbite DR 11cm 15g Real Roach Deep running suspending jerkbait

The Westin Jerkbite DR 11cm 15g Real Roach is a deep-running jerkbait designed for anglers who need to reach predators holding well below the surface. With a running depth of approximately 45 metres and a balanced suspending action, it can remain in the strike zone during pauses instead of quickly rising or sinking away.

The Real Roach pattern provides a natural baitfish profile for perch and pike, while the slim body responds well to both aggressive twitching and steady retrieves. An integrated long-cast system moves two steel balls into the tail during the cast for improved distance and accuracy, then returns them to the belly during retrieval to help create a sharp, darting action.

Fish it with short, sharp jerks when predators are active, or use longer pauses in colder conditions when fish are less willing to chase. The 45m diving range makes it useful for deeper lakes, canals and slower river sections, particularly around drop-offs, submerged structure and deeper baitfish-holding areas.

Why It Works for Irish Anglers

Predators often hold deeper around drop-offs and submerged features, especially when conditions push baitfish away from the surface. The Jerkbite DR reaches these deeper zones and can be paused directly in front of following fish, making it particularly useful when pike or perch are reluctant to chase quickly moving lures.

The long-cast system also helps when covering open water from the bank, while the natural Real Roach colour offers a familiar baitfish profile for clear or moderately coloured water.
