Lower Rider Stone #6

A low-riding stonefly dry fly built to sit flush in the surface film. The #6 sizing targets the big Salmonfly and Golden Stone hatches when trout look for large, meaty dries.

Fish it on a dead drift tight to the banks during stonefly emergences, or skate it gently to draw aggressive strikes.

Work it tight to the banks and along the foam lines where stonefly adults fall to the water, and don’t hesitate to skate it through riffles when fish are aggressive.
