Trina’s Carnage Hopper Yellow #10

Trina’s Carnage Hopper in yellow is a grasshopper dry fly pattern built for hopper season. The yellow coloring matches natural hoppers found along Western rivers.

Fish it on a dead drift along grassy banks in late summer, letting it float naturally into likely holding water.

Fish it on a stout enough tippet to turn the fly over in the wind, since the best terrestrial fishing often happens on the breeziest afternoons.
